I really would not like this man's job! Wow!
Husband worked on fixing the raised hearth today to get it ready for stone.
We are currently fighting with our NON WAYNE HOMES fireplace distributor and installer, Kerns fireplace out of Lima, over a several hundred dollar part. I will update about that later after we get it taken care of, but my husband has already drafted a letter to the BBB. Unless they get our issues, their customer service, and clarity in check, we will absolutely NOT be referring them any business. The fireplace has been the biggest nightmare of our entire build and Wayne Homes is only responsible for a portion of it!
The painters will not be painting tomorrow which was not explained to me correctly. They won't be back until trim is installed. We have no idea when this happens. Our site manager said we would be painted by Thursday so we should keep our fireplace stone mason on the schedule for Thurs / Fri. Painters won't be done, but we are keeping the stone mason on the schedule. This was very confusing, but it will be okay.
The excavator showed up and was fighting for space with the siding crew. They couldn't work with the siding crew there, so they left. Maybe they shouldn't have called off so many times? Both of these crews called off for weeks at a time. It just stinks because now we will reap what they have sewn.
It has been hard to keep a level head today. This too, shall pass. Maybe we will be surpsrised? :)
