He took it upon himself to fix the dining room columns and dining room header. They look great now!
No longer flush
Crown molding will wrap around the column at the top
One day of drywall finishing
Fireplace begging for attention. Kerns handled this well - our installer is doing this Monday.
Bedroom drywall - they peel off any bubbly sections to mud it in so there aren't as many imperfections.
Concerning.... Right by our outside sump pump (I think). It could also be condensation dripping from the pipe above, but that doesn't explain the spot at the bottom of the foundation.
Stone-capped Craftsman columns...love!
We noticed our bathroom transom window is cracked now and we must have missed that when the drywallers put that last piece up. We will have to email our FM to get this fixed.
As our FM worked yesterday, hubby shot a deer. After making some personal connections with our FM this week and realizing we went to school with his nephews, I think it is safe to say our "professional-you-are-building-our-house" relationship has turned into somewhat of a friendship. He and my hubby shared hunting stories (Insert Tim the Toolman Taylor's man grunt here) and our FM took a pic of my hubby and his deer. For a joke, hubby took a pic of our FM holding the deer like he got it "all in a day's work" and they got some laughs. It is nice to have a FM with a personality that treats you like people and not just customers. Hiring employees like this is something Wayne Homes is good at... And after shopping every.single.builder. In the area (including their neighbor - Schumacher Homes - where we literally "quit" our rude and unhelpful home consultant to ask for a new one... And STILL came back to WH), we both feel very confident in Wayne Homes' judgement of character and customer service.
They certainly make a stressful time easier. For that, we are thankful!
