Snow Day! - Day 119
We Had another snow day today & are hoping to get back on track tomorrow. The paint looks good but needs another coat, so hopefully they take care of that! Having to schedule and re-schedule deliveries, dr. Appointments, days off of work to move, etc. is starting to wear on us, so hopefully Wayne Homes stays true to their word and has everything fixed by January 17th (our third move-in date). My hubby says "don't hold your breath" and predicts February. We never got a 120 day guarantee paper from our FM, but that day (according to him) will come and go tomorrow. Maybe we will get $500?

Snow Day! - day 118
No work was done today because we were under a level three. We have crazy wind chills and negative temperatures. So far it seems like the house is fine, although there is frost & ice on the inside of our windows from condensation.

Painting & Electric - Day 115
After a few lengthy and somewhat heated discussions about painting and paint type with our painter this morning, I think we have everything ready to go for paint on the doors and walls today!
The electricians are coming back to work today and hopefully things will be moving along!
The electricians must not be coming back until next week.
The electricians are coming back to work today and hopefully things will be moving along!
Update: The paint guy "stood by his word" and made things right after a rough start this morning. I don't feel comfortable posting details, but suffice it to say it looks amazing.
Fireplace wall: Glidden dusty Miller (matched by Sherwin Williams)
TV Wall: sherwin Williams Perfect Greige
Dusty Miller and Maple Valley Chiffon cabinets. The paint here looks different than it does in real life.

Traffic Jam and Snow Storms - Day 114
The electricians showed up bright and early to start the final electric only to discover...... Painting wasn't finished!
As we were talking, the painter called the electrician and told him not to finish or hang anything because they weren't don't painting yet.
After our electrician got off of the phone, he said it looked like he will have to reschedule yet again for next week (3rd time now) to do final electric BUT they would work on the basement and possibly the exterior lights today. He said it was our project manager's fault, but I told him about the painters... Oh well. It is what it is.
The stone mason came back to fix the fireplace hearth that came apart. I don't think I mentioned that before.
The painters are supposed to be here today to do the trim.
Progress.
Update: today, our fireplace hearth was fixed and the grout was cleaned up, our propane tank was picked up, some of our electric was finished in the basement, a few fixtures installed on the outside, and the trim was painted antique white. We really like the color of the trim!

Nothing - Day 113
We wouldn't have expected anyone to be here today if they didn't promise it. Twice.
We made a list of all of the things that need fixed today and it is growing.
